Why we started Tavon.
After years of building products and leading engineering teams, Matthias began working with AI coding agents. He realized he could no longer confidently say how he'd assemble a software team from scratch. Familiar assumptions about roles, processes, and productivity needed another look.
Ivan reached the same point by building. Using coding agents, he recreated substantial parts of applications in hours, work that had previously taken teams significant time. The results still needed sound architecture, security, and operations, but the economics had changed.
We started Tavon to help organizations act on that change: rethink how they build software without losing the engineering discipline that makes it dependable.
